Maison Mésange bears this name because it’s located on Rue de la Mésange. But there’s more to it than that.
The choice of our name is above all
Back then, far from the charming little bird, the place was a horse market.
Over the years, the street took on many names. Until, in 1760, it became A la Mésange.
The name comes from one of the houses on the street, at number 18, topped by a statue of the bird.
